I began my entrepreneurial quest in late 2014. The idea of Dough Boy Donuts came after 15 years of restaurant experience, and a desire to build a company of my own. My culinary skills were sharpened after several years of kitchen management for a well known steakhouse and I knew I could use these skills to build something special. I began experimenting with homemade donut ingredients; and eventually created a unique, made from scratch donut recipe second to none. After months of perfecting my new craft, I set out on getting a food truck.
Dough Boy Donuts took Dallas-Fort Worth area by storm and was embraced with open arms throughout North Texas. In the summer of 2018, we took the success of our food truck and turned our dream of owning a brick and mortar location into a reality. Dough Boy Donuts opened its doors to the public in late 2018. Since then, our shop has been recognized as a local destination for great donuts and we were awarded ‘Best Donut/Kolache’ by Fort Worth Magazine!
