Tina Motley is the owner of Le Petit Dejeuner. Tina has always loved breakfast even when she was a child, and now she has turned her passion for this morning meal into a restaurant. Breakfast is a big meal for her family as it is one of the only times of the day that they can sit down and eat together. With this in mind, she wanted her restaurant to emulate her family’s experience and for each meal served with a taste of home.
Le Petit Dejeuner opened its doors in 2015 as Detroit’s first family style dining experience. Black-owned and family-run, Le Petit Dejeuner first began on the stage of TV Lounge before moving to its current location on East Jefferson in 2018. Today, we are known for our laid-back and upscale dining experience, a place that feels like home and where every birthday is celebrated with a soulful rendition of the “Happy Birthday” song surrounded by family and friends.
All of our breakfast is made with love, fresh, and from scratch. The owner has years of perfecting her recipes to ensure her guests are receiving the best breakfast. On our menu, there are many unique twists on traditional breakfast items for our guests to try. We want to ensure we are always serving family-style love on a plate for our guests to enjoy.
